Sustainable Agriculture Summer Camp: Grow, Explore, and Get Your Hands Dirty! Get ready for a summer packed with adventure, discovery, and real‑life farm fun. At our Sustainable Agriculture Summer Camp, campers step right into the world of modern farming—learning by doing every single day. They’ll hop onto tractors for supervised driving experiences, meet cows and other local farm animals up close, and explore how agriculture shapes our community here in North Carolina.
Campers will dig into vegetable and flower production, plant seeds, tend garden beds, and see how food and flowers grow from the ground up. Along the way, they’ll learn the basics of plant science, discover the many uses of different crops, and get an inside look at small‑scale animal agriculture.
From soil to sunshine to the animals that support our farms, this camp turns agriculture into an exciting, hands‑on adventure. Campers leave with new skills, new confidence, and a whole new appreciation for the world that feeds us.
** This camp does include short fieldtrip of a local agriculture facility.
