They’ll practice proper skin prep for long‑lasting wear, identify and use professional tools, follow industry‑standard sanitation practices, and learn how to match foundation and concealer like a pro.

Next, campers dive into the art of sculpting and enhancing facial features. They’ll analyze face and eye shapes, practice contouring and highlighting placement, and explore color theory to understand how hues work together. From natural daytime looks to bold, dramatic styles, students will experiment with techniques that elevate any makeup design.

The third day unlocks the world of imagination. Campers explore makeup for theater, film, and live events, studying styles from different eras and genres. They’ll design Halloween and fantasy characters, experiment with face painting, and learn how to exaggerate features to bring characters to life on stage or screen.

The final day introduces campers to the exciting world of SFX makeup. Using beginner‑friendly materials, they’ll create realistic cuts, bruises, wounds, and basic prosthetic effects. Campers also learn proper removal techniques and how to care for their skin after wearing special effects makeup.

Our Automotive & Heavy Machinery Camp is a hands-on, high-tech experience designed for high schoolers who want to build, fix, and master the machines that move the world. Learn about the basics of automotive maintenance, from oil changes, roadside safety and exploring how hydraulic systems play their part. Dive into the world of diesel technicians! You’ll work with the same professional tools and diagnostic technology used by the pros to solve real-world mechanical puzzles. This isn't your average "sit-and-listen" camp. Campers will train alongside Coach Emma Carter and current players from our nationally ranked Storm Volleyball Team, gaining hands‑on experience in both fundamental and advanced volleyball skills. Through dynamic drills, competitive play, and team‑building activities, participants will sharpen their technique and boost their confidence both on and off the court. 

 ** This camp is for rising 5th-7th graders.

This beginner game development course is designed to get elementary-aged students excited about technology through hands-on and engaging learning activities. Recreate classic video games while exploring level design and digital arts concepts. Experience intuitive, child-friendly software while learning the game development process. Show off the awesome games you create on a special, password-protected website to share with your friends and family! Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

Dive, swim, walk or crawl into the Zoo and Aquarium program at Davidson-Davie! Campers will get the full hands-on experience of the interworking of animal and aquatic care led by our Davidson-Davie animal care team! ! Campers will need to pack a lunch and  attend a field trip to a local facility on the last day of camp!

 ** Parents will need to send camper with lunch daily.

** The last day of this camp students will be going to a local facility and will need to bring a completely nonperishable packed lunch.
